August 22, 2013: The 6th Annual Pomerantz Foundation Golf Tournament will be held on August 22nd, 2013 at Golf Saint Raphael in Ile Bizard and Yaldei was selected as one of the beneficiaries. The theme this year is Mardi Gras, and it is going to be a fun-filled event! There will be different events at each hole: restaurants, games and chances to win great prizes- all while enjoying the outdoors in great company.There will also be a brunch, cocktails, a silent auction, and more.

April 10, 2013: POSTPONED Our next parent support group will be next Wednesday evening, April 10th from 7:30-9:00pm in Yaldei’s boardroom (2100 Marlowe, 5th floor). We will be talking about finances and will be joined by Nathan Lebowitz, a financial advisor from Assante Wealth Management who will provide information, field questions, and guide us through financial planning and opportunities for families with a child with special needs.
Come and join other parents to share your questions, experience and knowledge, and feel free to invite others who would benefit from this time. RSVP to ainsliem@yaldei.org to let her know of your attendance.
We will be discussing the impact of having a child with special needs on the family and will be welcoming in Jean-Philippe Gouin, a Concordia professor in the department of psychology and researcher in Concordia’s “Family Well-Being Project”, as well as two parents of older children with special needs who will share from their perspective.
January 9, 2013: Yaldei is now offering a monthly parent support group! The first meeting will take place on Wednesday, June 9 from 7:30 – 9:00pm at Yaldei (2100 Marlowe, 5th floor).
Come out and join other parents and caregivers for tea and coffee in a relaxed environment. Learn about resources and interventions, share ideas, and meet others who may be facing similar challenges. Professionals may be invited to host workshops and discussions based on parent interest. Don’t miss this opportunity to share your questions, concerns, or knowledge with others!
November 4, 2012: On November 4, we will be hosting an exciting event to raise funds for our center: The Special Needs Celebration of Hope.
Our featured speaker will be Rebbetzin Esther Jungreis, best-selling author and riveting, world-class inspirational speaker. (Click for her bio). Rebbetzin Jungreis has written several books, including Life is a Test, Jewish Soul on Fire, and The Committed Life. Her books will be available for purchase at the event.
The event will be hosted by CJAD Radio’s Tommy Schnurmacher and will include an elegant Dessert Reception and Silent Auction. This is a wonderful event for a great cause- don’t miss it!
